Default Overcoming the INTj achilles heel

The reason that led me to socionics was my search for a psychological personality test, because I believed I didn't have a personality. As far as social-wise, I thought I was just extremely apathetic.

Anyways, the test results were extremely contradicting to my intentions. Socionics questions if Fe exists in us at all. I can now watch myself hopelessly left out of the emotional atmosphere, and this can make me upset. All I can do is listen, correlate, but never feel. I really feel schizoid now.

Maybe I've just been pushing myself to be social too much. It's summer break and a lot of friends have been hassling me, time alone is pretty rare.

What dumbfounds me is.. people like me. Despite of my lack of everything(personality wise), my uncompromising presence is appreciated and longed for. Hell, they may like me more than I like them. Why am I so cool? Or maybe they just like to talk? All I do is listen.. is that what everyone wants? The only things I like to talk about from my own mouth are Ti related, which I can easily keep to myself if I wish. Do people appreciate Ti or find it annoying? Also.. its like if I do talk about Ti, I see ESTJs hopelessly try to relate where their Ti is inferior, and just lie through loopholes in their fallible logic to appear like they know what they're talking about. It's pretty gay. I mean c'mon ESTJs, I know its your hidden agenda to be perfect and all, but you can't lie your way to it :]

I might be just really stressed out because I'm not chasing my master plan and instead more focused on fixing my achilles heal and dating.

I believe, the only true serenity for me is following my master plan which side-develops a healthy apathy for society. This healthy apathy keeps me sane when I'm around people... I'll finally feel happily detached. Can anyone validate?

INTJs, is there any advice you can give me about your mentality on people so I can just enjoy? I guess I'm just looking for some Identical Relations view on social life.

I don't want to be famous. It just might be a side-effect of my master plan's succession or attempted failure.

    Intrigued? Lol.

After reading that sentence I sound like a terrorist... which I will assure you that I'm NOT.

    Thanks for being concerned though.

no shit, cuz if you think about it... when a person is reading a forum and sees something funny how often to they actually LOL?
I mean, someone can say, lol and it means it was amusing for, what, a 1/10th of a second.
If a person laughs for a good 2 seconds, actually laughs, then that's something they found quite funny.
Now, if you posted something reeeeally funny, I probably would have said, holy shit that was funny, I think i snorted a li'l. Then that, my friend, would be hilarious.

lefty wrote, yeah ... intjs are similar "look alikes" to infjs so people want to bombard them because they're fantastic listeners and analysts and intjs probably could use a healthy sense of detachment while invested in their own life, the way infjs need space from others.

sometimes i think Ti functions in an intj can be shocking unless youre totally compatible with it, because they can seem so dark and heavy sometimes that the sheer goodness in them is suprising to me. But i guess they are alphas and alphas do value peace. Also as an ENFJ i arrange my life around Ti...structures, systems, groups and i know how much i think or comprehend that i dont say to people. Sometimes i just have to say to myself "those who speak do no know," so i can keep it all in.

Dialectically speaking its good to do both.

    Then do it.

INTJs, is there any advice you can give me about your mentality on people so I can just enjoy? Something along the lines of.. "people are weak and incompetent, you are alone so enjoy it" would even help. I guess I'm just looking for some Identical Relations view on social life.

I have seen this; it definitely isn't pretty. The ENFj ends up looking like this:

Hmm, I don't have quite the same experience... I have a very icy exterior but am hypersensitive and emotional beneath it... I do relate to being utterly overwhelmed and shutting down, though - deadened even.

This is interesting. I was actually thinking about this the other day being a female INTJ. I somewhat see myself as not having the emotional core that many INTJ's claim to have. While I am somewhat more emotional than the exterior, I wouldn't classify myself as hypersensitive inside. I'm not overly concerned about it, but I have often wondered about it.

I have an Achilles' Heel for hot LII girls. They don't usually like me, though
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Sentineneve, despite of your efforts to edit your posts I had already stored your perception of the "island" into my infallible . Muaha, forever in there it will be stored. I agree with Spektralized and your posts had me feel coherent for once.

I did however forget your gender

And islandgirl Moonbaby by Godsmack is a f**king awesome song, thanks for that. Listen to Earshot - Again, I'm sure you'd like it.

edit**:: Haha why would I use the word coherent? I think I'm looking for a word that means related, but coherent could be a pun at that, since we are logical individuals anyway.

I removed my posts because I no longer wished to participate in this forum. Although nobody on the forum was fighting with me personally, I still do not wish to be associated with many of the regulars. Deleting what I wrote was a convenient method of maintaining my privacy, and preventing things I've written from being bumped and rediscussed on the forum without me. I have no qualms with leaving my written works on forums that I am on good terms with, but I am less than fond of many of the personalities on this forum and would rather not be continually associated with them. I use the same set of names for my online identity, and would prefer it if somebody searching for me would not find those particular posts on this particular forum.

I was rather displeased at the lack of civility many forum posters exhibited towards each other. Under the guise of free speech, people were being downright rude to each other. At some point, blunt honesty and lack of tact cross the line into simply being impolite and rude. Setting aside the content of what was being written, the manner in which people were writing to each other was atrocious. People can disagree with the opinions and ideas of other people while remaining courteous. It is just as fair to ask people to be more considerate of others as it is to expect me to turn the other cheek and ignore their posts.

Socionics does not define who people are. People define what Socionics is. Socionics is a model of people. Instead of taking individual responsibility for their communication style, people were hiding their disrespectful words behind their types and functions. There is a hidden cost to communicating in that style; a style in which I don't think it is understood that everybody has to pay the cost of. A complete lack of basic politeness drives away old people who want to participate, and drives away new people who are interested in learning. I was here to learn, and participating was a good way for me to learn. When participating stopped being a good way to learn, I reverted to learning by lurking. When the amount of time I invest in this forum far outweighs the amount I learn by lurking, I'll leave.

There were two options available to me. One was to continue participating in the forum and attempt to set an example. The other was to cease participating. I had nothing at stake in this forum. When I have nothing at stake, I typically see no reason to fight. I am not one to say, "Change XYZ" or "I'm quitting" for something I am not heavily invested in. I tried to leave in as quiet of a fashion as I was fairly able to. I didn't think anyone would actually notice I left. Even if they did notice, I didn't think people would PM or post asking why I left. I considered making this message a private message, but I suppose if people have noticed, I probably should have attempted some public closure. I'm sorry for that.

I genuinely enjoyed much of my short time here, and certainly would not mind privately keeping in contact with many of you. I think many of you are exceptional people. I learned quite a bit on this forum, both about myself and about other people. Thank you to everybody for that. However, the general negative atmosphere I perceive is not the atmosphere I want to leave my thoughts in. Besides, there are people far more experienced, articulate, and capable than I to help the newbies.

I wish you all well. So long, and thanks for all of the fish~.

Mat Kearney sounds nice. Maybe I'll play it when I have chicks in the car, a break from all the dark stuff I make them listen to.:]

I'm an avid hard rock/grunge fan. 3 doors down and Staind are amongst them and particularly my favs. Here are some songs that'll accomodate greatly to those tastes:
    Cold - Cure My Tragedy
    Cold - Sad Happy
Linkin Park - Krwling (features Staind lead singer)
    Breaking Benjamins - Breathe
    Breaking Benjamins - Away

As far as idiosyncratic, and no matter what mood I'm in I can enjoy listening to these instrumentals from Daisuke Ishiwatari (a japanese composer).
I've uploaded them because chances are they're super hard to find:
Daisuke Ishiwatari - Writhe in Pain
Daisuke Ishiwatari - Holy Orders (Be Just or Be Killed)

    Achilles heal

The Achilles heal is an intimidating power that makes the INTj almost invulnerable and in this way similar to other IJ boss characters in the Fields of Socionics (tm) wargame. You can still use mass barrages because splash damage hits the hot spot behind the ankle or you can try to dodge incoming fire with the side boosters and use any of the rapid fire weapons to gain successive hits to the hotspot. You can also attack the INTj with atomic weapons or other super-type weaponry to gain sufficient single hit damage so that the Achilles heal power is unable to keep up with the damage.

    Statistics:
Achilles heal: 60 hp /s normal damage and 5 hp/s of critical damage.
    Always on.

Just remember to dodge the negative energy rays they fire from their eyes.
First eliminate every possible source of error. Thence success is inevitable.
