    Default Mark Wahlberg

    quotes: http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0000242/quotes

I have a lot of real life experience that I can draw on. And I think that shows in the characters that I play because I'm always trying to find somebody - or find characters to play that I can identify with on a personal level or relate to. And I think it makes for a little bit more of an honest portrayal.

I don't want to let my guard down and feel too comfortable. If you become complacent, you start feeling entitled. I'm ready to go dig ditches if I have to. Whatever I gotta do to provide for my family. Whatever I gotta do to make sure that I do the best possible job at whatever wonderful opportunities I've been handed.

I like to talk to people. I've got one assistant, one Blackberry. That's my overhead. I don't text that much or email. I like to sit down face-to-face and have a conversation with you. I'm old-fashioned.

I work out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; take Thursday off; then I work out Friday and Saturday. So sometimes I'll eat whatever I want on Thursday, like a big breakfast of pancakes and bacon and eggs and stuff. You can eat a big, hearty breakfast because you're going to burn off most of it during the day anyway.

I've always wanted to be in the health and wellness business. I try to encourage people to live a healthy lifestyle. ... I've always been into working out and eating healthy. That's just who I am.

Producing suits me because I have a business mind and a business sensibility. I was a street hustler. I did whatever it took. I sold whatever I could sell. I'm a good organiser.

All that running around in my underwear put money in my pockets. I can focus on working in interesting movies without having to worry about supporting myself.

There aren't really many compliments flying around with me and my friends. It's a lot of tough love. But you know, that love is there, and if you need to have a serious conversation, you just gotta wait for the right time to do it.

If I succeed in business but fail as a father, then I've failed.

I've always wanted to do right in life. But the wanting and the doing aren't quite the same thing.

Having two daughters changed my perspective on a lot of things, and I definitely have a newfound respect for women. And I think I finally became a good and real man when I had a daughter. ... And I tell you, having girls has made me a much better man. I have friends who are fathers, but they only have boys, and they have the same attitude toward women they always had, you know? And I don't play that... My girls, you mess with them? I will bury you underground.

Women don't get the credit they deserve.

Wow what was up with that first interview? The guy asked him like 80 questions. He wasn't really even listening to what mark was saying. Bored the hell out of me but the last bit about the angel dust and bashing up police was interesting.

Incidentally, if anyone's an Enneagram-enthusiast, could you throw some potential types at me?

I'd say 3w4 or 6w5 is most likely, but 8(w7 or w9) is a possibility. He acts like an 8 in most of the films I've seen.

In I Heart Huckabees, he plays a hippie/philosopher character so believably that I have a hard time seeing him outside that role. Pretty remarkable too considering that I never knew he was anything but "Marky Mark" before seeing the movie.

Haha, neither. It's strange how you can go from bar-fighting, aggressive-as-fuck white rapper to an actor with many faces - although I said he acts like an 8 in most of his films, you can still distinguish his role in The Departed from say his role in Three Kings.

And so neurotically. (That is, in the loose sense of the term. His NF role emerged in a very distorted way in that movie, attracting a lot of strange interest attention to himself as being "peculiar.")

I could see an INTj falling into that distortedly INFp-ish role he played, given the right circumstances.

Does he have him on his website? I haven't seen him.

If that's what Rick has typed him, I will take back what I said and consider LSI as a possibility.

    LSI
Projection is ordinary. Person A projects at person B, hoping tovalidate something about person A by the response of person B. However, person B, not wanting to be an obejct of someone elses ego and guarding against existential terror constructs a personality which protects his ego and maintain a certain sense of a robust and real self that is different and separate from person A. Sadly, this robust and real self, cut off by defenses of character from the rest of the world, is quite vulnerable and fragile given that it is imaginary and propped up through external feed back. Person B is dimly aware of this and defends against it all the more, even desperately projecting his anxieties back onto person A, with the hope of shoring up his ego with salubrious validation. All of this happens without A or B acknowledging it, of course. Because to face up to it consciously is shocking, in that this is all anybody is doing or can do and it seems absurd when you realize how pathetic it is.

In some ways he reminds me of Joe Rogan who I've always thought to be ESTp, but even more so I see him as similar to a lot of the LSIs I know. I think he is likely LSI-Se.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

When I watch moments like this I think ISTj/ ESTp for Wahlberg. ENTp/ ENFp for Silverman. ISTp/ISTj for Fassbender. Norton is ISFp /INFp.
