Okay so we're talking animation, alright I'll claim... the squad of sass. Aka all the smug characters that are way too edgy Let's see, let's see.

Ehh who doesn't have a crush on this handsome fella.

I hate him. But he's also cool. What do I do?

Boa sort of is me but I also want her as a girlfriend. I'm really conflicted about Itachi as well.

There was a man in a show long ago. I can't seem to remember now, it was from my childhood. A distant memory everpresent within the shrouded recesses of my obsessed mind. A core by which my entire being functions from and wishes to embody but can never find. Around and around it spirals anew, eating itself out and drowning in its self-pity. Alas do I wish to see what never existed aloud a world that never was. Who am I?

I desire and infinite, pointless fate by which no being shall interfere but my own being. An infinite, desirable longing by which my existence is born perpetually anew. To escape the binds which sever our very being. True will. Is to seek. Closure within our own being.

To which point, the foundation is set perfectly in place. for. The tower of god molded by our very hand. From us, by us, to us. What remains is the invincible binding by which the hand feeds?

... I wasn't implying you knew who these were.

I replied to this thread's open conversation topic. Unless I specifically quote you or mention you, there's no reason to assume my post is directed at you.

At the end of the day, people have more similarities than differences, so that's no surprise.

I've identified with some characters in the past... Griffith, Itachi, Yagami Light... but at the end of the day I am my own person and it seems fake to try to be something else that is not myself.

“My typology is . . . not in any sense to stick labels on people at first sight. It is not a physiognomy and not an anthropological system, but a critical psychology dealing with the organization and delimitation of psychic processes that can be shown to be typical.” —C.G. Jung

    Butters.
Projection is ordinary. Person A projects at person B, hoping tovalidate something about person A by the response of person B. However, person B, not wanting to be an obejct of someone elses ego and guarding against existential terror constructs a personality which protects his ego and maintain a certain sense of a robust and real self that is different and separate from person A. Sadly, this robust and real self, cut off by defenses of character from the rest of the world, is quite vulnerable and fragile given that it is imaginary and propped up through external feed back. Person B is dimly aware of this and defends against it all the more, even desperately projecting his anxieties back onto person A, with the hope of shoring up his ego with salubrious validation. All of this happens without A or B acknowledging it, of course. Because to face up to it consciously is shocking, in that this is all anybody is doing or can do and it seems absurd when you realize how pathetic it is.

edit: perhaps the most accurate would be a female version of Spike Spiegel, plus Misato from Evangelion, but less cool :'C

    Shadow Fixations

Guts (Berserk) - I love how Guts is in a constant struggle to survive and thrive in a world that wants to rip his soul apart. His destructive instinct to set himself on fire to kill an enemy or rip his bones and flesh apart just to fight against and destroy the sadistic world all around him. It's really...gripping. Reminds me of a time in the military where I "volunteered" to go through training where I got little sleep and tons of physical exertion. I remember throwing up four times after sprinting 2 miles after spending hours of going through a tough obstacle course with insane amounts of exercises so I wouldn't get kicked out. And the long ruck marches we had to complete in a short amount of time. And the jumping out of aircraft. At one point I had most of the bottom skin layer of my right foot ripped off. I just put alcohol on a large pad and electrical tapped it so the pad wouldn't come off. I could still run on it and it eventually healed and I didn't get kicked out, even though they would have had I showed a medic or admitted to having an injury when they asked. I know it's probably a little insane to be like this, but it can feel good to struggle as best I can. It's very...real...as opposed to being in my head.

Alma (Fear) - This game was kind of cathartic at the time. I had a lot of shit going on in my head and it was really therapeutic to gun through endless people after a being that was embodied by a monstrous will to live and revenge brought about by traumatic suffering by those around her. And the more engrossed in the game, the darker and more detailed the situation becomes. This is why I think it's stupid to say video games cause violence. It can be an outlet to deter violence.

Lisbeth (Girl with the dragon tattoo) - Her trauma and the way she deals with it is a little too real. She's too relatable.

John Wick - I loved his anger. Even when he was tied to a chair and about to be suffocated, he showed unwavering conviction in his rage against those that wronged him. I just, wow. It's so destructive, but I do share that deep down on an instinctive level. Somebody actually told me one day that they thought I had the same emotions, lol.

    Ego fixations

L (Death Note) - His reading into everything. It's just really relatable. I was like that from an early age.
Rei (Evangelion) - The detachment and introversion fits a large part of my schizoid self.
Yoda as a force ghost - What he says tends to be what I think.

It would be kind of interesting to see what someone analyzes from that, if anything.
    good bye

I've had the same two close friends for a while. Our dynamic fits the main Space Dandy trio, and I'm QT (the lil robot guy on the right). We pretty much collectively decided this the first time we watched it; the personalities just matched up too well.
