    Default What is "Black Ethics"?

Honest Question... Why is Black Ethics associated with image? Why is it the *only* function associated with image? I can make an argument for three other functions to be associated with image...

Really, no function description that I've run across have connected those two uniquely together. Please correct me.

I'm going to list a few things to facilitate this discussion...

    =

internal activity of objects: internal processes, mood, emotional activity and arousability, emotional content

    Extrovert (black) ethics

    - Understanding the emotional state of a person, influence on his mood.
    - Ability to force a person to reveal his emotions, show his feelings. Ability to find an individual approach to a person.
    - Frank expression of the emotions, demonstration of feelings, epatage, inclination to theatricality (grandstand play).
    - Impressionability, mood drops, passion, fanaticism, animation of diffirent objects.
    - Creation of an emotional atmosphere in a collective or a society (stressing situation, enthusiasm, emotional rise). Management of an emotional background.
    - Inclination to oratory, artistry (all spectrum of intonations, expressive pauses, significant sights, rich mimicry).

extraverted ethics on the group level:
In groups with free circulation of extraverted ethics, participants rarely share their personal sentiments, but focus instead on externally visible expression such as telling funny stories, making loud comments, and trying to say everything in an emotionally expressive and creative manner. There is usually just one large group that people can join and leave as they see fit, and the group has the tendency to grow ever larger and include more and more people in its orbit by moving tables together, sharing food and drinks, and directing group attention at people hanging around the edges who might be feeling left out. Often these group sessions can last for hours and hours until the last diehards finally go to bed, thoroughly exhausted.

that's enough for now. Any way, don't let my question get in the way of the discussion. This is more for than about my question. I would like it answered though.

Good job with getting all that material together in one post.

An example I can use for myself, an LII, with an ESE dual: Basically, I strive for emotional neutrality when dealing with almost everything - suppressing emotions and feelings to logic. When it comes to relationships, however, this trait often leads to detachment or non-involvement, a great psychological distance between. is my dual seeking because of the following things:

EIE : raw expression of emotions and being, communicating the genuine soul of mankind
ESE : balancing of work and enjoyment, emotional honesty and connecting others
    from: http://socionics.us/types/type_messages.txt
I have an extremely poor concept of work and enjoyment generally, as I cannot avoid what is most important. Only by making efforts to view balance as important can I balance myself. More than anything else, I appreciate emotional honesty, essentially honesty in all forms. For myself, if someone is not honest (as in sheer honesty, lying with words) or emotionally sincere, then I cannot legitimately overlook this - I will find out. And if I cannot find out right away, then the doubt will linger until I do find out. So while this trait is something I value extremely, it can be tiresome, to always decipher the meaning of what people are saying, and so on (This is why LIIs can see people as individual systems of their own being, as well as collective groups). So, an Fe leading type, with raw expression of emotions and particularly the ESE's 'emotional honesty', is absolutely refreshing and appealing. And finally for this section, I have an extremely poor connection rate with others, or so I would think. I really am clueless about understanding even that. So someone who knows how to connect and does it naturally would be very valuable.

ESE - Turning life into an enjoyable, beautiful experience.
EIE - Riveting attention and energy to meaningful causes.

You can see how each Fe type is custom made for their dual, and related to their quadra.

Fe is responsible for perception of an emotional condition of the person, expression of emotions, management of an emotional condition of people.
All things that types are not inherently inclined to deal with. I am much more catering to this once you are inside my circle, but otherwise I am doing what is in my signature - being very acetic, especially in terms of other people.

As with everything else, I will push the aspect of understanding - that is to say, "Fe" on its own is one thing theoretically, but you have to understand that it is not separate from the rest of the functions. Everyone has Fe somewhere in their ordering. But I know that is not what you are looking for.

It seems like you have gained enough information for your own question however. Is there something else you want to ask about ?

Why is Black Ethics associated with image?
You mean, image as in appearance?
How you come across to others?

That has to do with manipulating the emotional atmosphere, which is related to how people "feel" towards you. This is why ESEs can be very self-sacrificing in doing good things for people, because their creative function is Si, and that is how they seek to maintain the emotional atmosphere towards their desires. For an LII on the flipside, Fe dual seeking, they put essentially nothing into manipulating the emotions of other people, not in that way at least. Their neutrality and indifference is precisely what allows them to fully deviate from whatever social norm there may be, having Fe dual seeking and Se porl. An ESE is valuable to an LII because they can help translate the LII's findings back to society, as the ESE can figure out how to assimilate Ti knowledge into its appearance, which thereby flows into the people around it.

Thanks for helping, Man. Very informative. My post had originally started as just a question about why was associated with, but uh, ... I got a little carried away. And it just filled itself up. So I changed the topic title, cause I didn't want it confined to just a question about image, but I still asked it, anyway.

    I understand much now...

Are you serious? I could not tell if I actually answered your question or not.

That answered the image question I had. I wasn't looking at the function from all angles.
