Default Socionics and Big Five - post your results

Hi. It would be interesting to know how people scores in Big Five. You can take the test here.

    My results:

    SLUEI
    sloan+ xxue|I|
    primary Inquisitive; S(52%)L(52%)U(60%)E(54%)I(82%)
    I'm introvert/extrovert and calm/limbic ambivert. Probably ego-centrical/accomodating too.

    Dominant Inquisitive:

more interested in intellectual pursuits than relationships or family, detaches to analyze factors from multiple perspectives, regularly uses ideas and tools to transform understanding, enjoys playing with random interconnections between ideas and patterns, would describe self as a nerd in high school, likes science fiction, introspective, good at fixing things, more comfortable around adults as a child, feels both special and defective, knows the darkside of life well, is not bothered by going long periods without speaking with people, more intellectual than sensual, can be bitter, problem solver, relies on mind more than on others, driven by curiousity, feels best when working, minimalist
    Blue: not always.
    Bold: 100%.

According to the approximate correlation table, I'm more similar to jungian ENTP/INTP than ENFP.

    sloan SCOEI; sloan+ scOe|I|; primary Inquisitive; S(56%)C(60%)O(70%)E(60%)I(86%)

Extroversion results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting at the expense of developing your own individual interests and internally based identity.

Orderliness results were high which suggests you are overly organized, neat, structured and restrained at the expense too often of flexibility, variety, spontaneity, and fun.

Emotional Stability results were moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Accommodation results were moderately low which suggests you are, at times, overly selfish, uncooperative, and difficult at the expense of the well being of others.

Inquisitiveness results were very high which suggests you are extremely intellectual, curious, imaginative but possibly not very practical.

    I'm introvert/extrovert and calm/limbic ambivert. Probably ego-centrical/accomodating too.
This is not Big Five, but Global Five.

Big Five (not to be confused with Global Five and FFM) is a dichotomous model which has those factors :

    - Surgency (supposed to correlate with Extrotimness)
    - Agreeableness (supposed to correlate with Ethics)
    - Conscientiousness (supposed to correlate with Judgement)
    - Emotional Stability
    - Intellect (supposed to correlate with Intuition)

And is not really an homeostatic thing, like socionics. Those "personnality tests" are actually either funny enthusiastic questionnaires or professional tools for cognitive discrimination. i.e. although it's illegal in most developed countries to refuse to employ somebody because he's Black, it's not illegal to refuse to employ somebody because he's not ENFJ or something. (I know that's not exactly what we were talking about)

    http://www.personalityresearch.org/bigfive.html

Ambiverts don't exist. This is an illusion because classical definition of "extroversion" is more relevant to than . Classical definition of "introversion", in contrast, is more relevant to than .

You can make this correlation to the Surgency factor :

    .9 .8 .7 .6 .4 .3 .2 .1

In socionics, there are two kinds of people :

    1. Extrotims, which display 62% of extroversion and 38% of introversion
    2. Introtims, which display 62% of introversion and 38% of extroversion

This is due to the differentiation of the psyche, which is a natural thing. If Introtims were 90% or 100%, they couldn't be able to take initiative or get in action.

But if psyche was not differentiated (i.e. symmetrically developing), nobody could specialise himself to handling some aspects of information more than others.

    Well, just a quick comment:

1.- Global Five and Big Five are like flavors of the same thing. The same happens to socionics and other typologies.
2.- I don't see a conflict between both systems (XXX Five and Socionics). Think about it like socionics tells you how your mind processes information and XXX Five how your character is. Say, one tells you how the neurons are arranged and the other how sensible is the system to certain neurochemicals and such.
3.- It's mere curiosity. I just want to have a sample for analysis.

I always used to test as primary Inquisitive, but I guess I've changed since then. If I had to pick, I'd say I'm more likely a primary Unstructured.

prone to addiction, often late, does not think things work out for the best, impatient, discontent, negative, opinionated, acts without thinking, preoccupied with self, easily frustrated, not that interested in others, act at the expense of others, becomes aggressive when they feel hurt, acts wild and crazy, frustrated and angry when people don't live up to expectations, slow to forgive, takes charge, does not behave in way that is acceptable to society, pessimistic, agnostic/atheistic tendencies, not usually happy, not calm in crisis, does not accomplish work on time, spontaneous, not on good terms with everyone, demanding, misbehaved, improper, avoids responsibilities, not willing to let things rest, acts out frustrations on others, has a need to maintain high levels of excitement, rarely prepared, often bored while working, aggressive, asks questions nobody else does, hard to reason with, likes to be the center of attention, acts without planning, retaliatory, asks many questions, quick to correct others, more pleasure seeking than responsible, not hard working, disorganized, loses things, unable to control cravings
Wow...a little harsh/exaggerated, to say the least, but I guess a bit of it (bolded) describes me pretty accurately.

Overall, not a really reliable instrument or theory, IMO.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

    SLUAN

often late, influenced more by others than self, easily frustrated, frequently driven to impress others, easily moved to tears, does not believe everything can be explained scientifically, fires back when someone hurts them, not analytical, easily distracted, does not always know what they are doing, easy to get to know, easily impressed, easily influenced, rarely prepared, not controlling, prone to jealousy, not bothered by disorder, low self confidence, acts without hesitation, not self reflective, thinks fun is the most important thing in life, worrying, easily hurt, spontaneous, tense, high maintenance, not detail oriented, unpredictable, prone to attachment, not interested in science, not afraid to draw attention to self, anxious, does not know why they do some things, not strict with self, inexplicably happy some of the time, attentive to appearances, underachiever, bases goals on inspiration rather than logic, will do a lot to avoid rejection, swayed by emotions, uses acts of kindness to get closer to people
    Hmm that's pretty good.

Edit - I've now read a few of these and they all kind of sounded like me in a way, so I'm starting to question the value of this.

What is the difference between ultra helpful and helpful? Seems a bit weird that about 1/2 the questions are qualified by that one word.

And doesn't actually matter. It's just an explanation of the score. The important score is the one you posted. Thanks.

Well, I was going to type up some comments about my results, but the bastard font color drop-down box erased all the text I'd written, so fuck it, here's my results, I can't be bothered to re-type my comments:

Extroversion results were medium which suggests you are moderately talkative, outgoing, sociable and interacting.

Orderliness results were moderately high which suggests you are, at times, overly organized, neat, structured and restrained at the expense too often of flexibility, variety, spontaneity, and fun.

Emotional Stability results were medium which suggests you are moderately relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic.

Accommodation results were moderately low which suggests you are, at times, overly selfish, uncooperative, and difficult at the expense of the well being of others.

Inquisitiveness results were moderately high which suggests you are intellectual, curious, imaginative but possibly not very practical.

I am 90% sure that if I take the test tomorrow, let's say, at 6:00 PM, I will get a completely different result. I don't trust typology systems that use simple testing algorithms to primarily determine the type. But disregarding the typology system, the main reason I am getting an odd result is probably because I didn't really strongly agree or strongly disagree with one trait or the other; just notice the amount of my results close to 50%. I can't when most of the questions are just adjectives. I will come back tomorrow and see how I do.

The Big Five is currently the most accepted personality model in the scientific community.

Emotional Stability results were low which suggests you are very worrying, insecure, emotional, and anxious.

Accommodation results were high which suggests you are overly kind natured, trusting, and helpful at the expense too often of your own individual development (martyr complex).
