Thread: Faces you just don't recognize

  1. #1

Default Faces you just don't recognize...

Have you ever met those people who's faces you just can't seem to remember? You remember their type of look, like that they are blonde, have curly hair, are tall...but the faces are just hard to remember? Or those people who's faces seem to constantly change, and I don't mean just mature in the typical way. I was wondering if this is type related. I'm not talking about what functions make you see other people this way, but if there is a pattern in relations with these sorts of people...or if certain people just have unmemorable faces.

I don't think there is anything at all to with a certain type and having an "unmemorable" face. However the inability to remember distinguish and remember someone's face might have to do with weak .

Nope. I can remember faces in vivid detail if there's a reason I have to think back to someone.

This mostly has to do with how much you pay attention to the face you're looking at, how pleasing or repulsive it is to you, or if the face looks like a face you already have memorized. Faces in general are one of the easiest and earlist things human brains are programed to remember.

Those people are often ENTps - at least the ones whose faces I don't remember.

what about faces you see and you think, "wow, i don't like that guy."

I don't like looking at comedian Ron White's face. He looks like an asshole matt damon.

I get that feeling quite a bit. Which sux because then they have to try much harder to make a good actual first impression.
Kind of like people have told me before, "dude, when I first saw you, I thought you were a dick and didn't like you, but now you're cool with me and you're one of the nicest guys I know..."
I actually had started a thread on that in Delta some time ago.

Well there is such a thing called face reading, where certain characterists are related to facial features. Your reaction could be an intuitive one from experience with other people, etc.

This is a very real example of "Fe".

If you look around and test this hypothesis, you will notice that the people for whom there is the highest likelihood of face being noncoincident with personality are those with Fe in the superego - ExTj and IxTp

Never ever heard of this before...maybe that says something about my type, cause I did get people telling me that I come off differently then when you get to know me...

Intuition, mostly, but being a logical type (objects>people) wouldn't help.
But, for a certainty, back then,
We loved so many, yet hated so much,
We hurt others and were hurt ourselves...

Yet even then, we ran like the wind,
    Whilst our laughter echoed,
    Under cerulean skies...

Scarlett Johansson's face took me a very long time to remember for some reason.
