ESI like ILI and like SEE and LIE, hold certain truths and hold fast to them, and because of this any amount of convincing otherwise is not going to work.

I'm constantly looking to align the real with the ideal.I've been more oriented toward being overly idealistic by expecting the real to match the ideal. My thinking side is dominent. The result is that sometimes I can be overly impersonal or self-centered in my approach, not being understanding of others in the process and simply thinking "you should do this" or "everyone should follor this rule"..."regardless of how they feel or where they're coming from"which just isn't a good attitude to have. It is a way, though, to give oneself an artificial sense of self-justification. LSE

Whaaaa? the guy in the OP sounds friggin awful. I usually love asking other people's point of view on things (if I deem them to be at least somewhat intelligent and people usually are unless proven otherwise) especially when it comes to how to do things/science etc.

He's threatened legal action? That's insane. I'd be a smartass and go ahead and print out any possible legal action he can do, shove it in his face and go- "here you go. thanks for making working together unbearable. and completely ruining any possibility of anyone respecting you or your opinions."
