    Default Pathlogical ESFj executed

    http://www.cnn.com/2007/LAW/05/25/oh....ap/index.html

A person who appears to be an ESFj was executed in Ohio today after 2 hours of delays.... Apparently the ESFj had requested -- indeed, wanted -- his execution.

Hmmm...a white t-shirt...I wouldn't be seen dead in that. I don't think any self-respecting ESFj would either, so maybe he is pathological . He looks a bit like a ESFj teacher I have - haven't seen him for ages though.

    hahahaha, this was pretty funny...
But Newton, who had had insisted on the death penalty as punishment and made no attempt to appeal, chatted and laughed with prison staff throughout the delay. It took so long that the staff paused to allow Newton a bathroom break.
I could just see the guy asking about going to the bathroom.

ESFj desire to help lends itself to masochism when taken too far. (see the ESFj type description on this site) When the shadow has natural control over the ego (psychopathology), it leads to a state of permanent conflict between oneself and the world that exaggerates the potential for neurosis. Although masochistic tendencies are common to ESFjs in general, it's only when psychopathology is involved that they succeed in consistently overwhelming common sense judgement.

Obviously a man wanting his own death for the good of society is as masochistic as you can get.

A masochistic person wants to be dominated at his\her own expense to parodoxically give them pleasure (not from IME). If he wanted to die for the benefit of society, he wouldn't be masochistic - masochists don't care how other people are treated, it's all about them. So, he could be a masochist, but he isn't one because he of the fact he is a ESFj.

it's funny you wrote that and makes a good amount of sense.

The part where they talk about the guy laughing and joking as he's about to die was something that, while reading the description, I figured was something that I would do if in that situation.
Don't get me wrong, i'd have to have done some reeeeeally shitty thing to think I've got to die but if I felt it was deserved and the courts came to that conclusion, why be a bitch about it... you're going to die, what else is there that you can do about it, nothing as far as I'm concerned. This of course only holds true if i've exhausted every part of the appeal process before even getting to that point.

Do you think that the obsession of an ESFj friend of mine for porno about "chastity bell" is a type thing?
