Socionics club in London

Hi to all,

I would like to invite all who is interested in socionics to join the club in London.
At the moment there are only russian speaking members and we would like to have English speaking members too.
We meet up once or twice a month in the centre of London in the pub "The Lord ot the Moon of the Mall" near Trafalgar Square 16-18 Whithall Rd, where was the first international seminar in April. We also plan to meet up from time to time in different places across London.

We meet up usually on a second Sunday in the morning from 11.00 am -13.00 pm or till later. At the moment there are about 6-8 members. If you are interested to join the club call me on 07814986789. It costs nothing to join and people pay for themselves in cafes and pubs.

At the moment we (myself and Oleg) introduce socionics to people who does not know anything about it or very little. So we talk about basic staff and type ourselves as a fun activity. We also talk about lots of other things, not only socionics. It is a social club.

I don't live in london anymore, but I might be able come every other month. I am planning on changing jobs and moving to london though so... I don't know. Almost pointless posting that.

Mhh... Yeah, I should call the OTHER person and meet up with him.

There is also a russian socionics community in Tartu, but I don't know much about it and I kinda really argued with one ENTp woman who said I was ISFp and I was very persistant that I'm not.

It may will be the russain socionics community in Tartu speak your native language so it may be worth trying. DO not be bothered about people retyping you - it happens to me from time to time as well. I am enjoying when somebody thinks that I am logical. I have been typed a few times as ENTP. At the moment I am talking to one person who is an INTJ and he truly believes that I am not ethical - I just love him for that.

Expat, I can not believe what I hear!!! How? why? I am so happy now. This means we shall have soon English speaking community within the club and eventually our club will be international.

Because the club is social in a first place, people come for different reasons. Some are bored and need friends, the others want to practice Russian or are looking for relationships. But the great thing is that I already have got a bunch of intellectuals who are actually very interested in socionics, philosophy, religion and etc. After the next meeting I will post the picture of the club members (if they will not mind of course).

It's now all but certain that I will be moving back to the UK within the next few months. Not to London, but within a 3 hours' drive.

I'd be glad to participate, Olga, but as you know I don't speak a word of Russian. So the Russian-practice bit will be lost on me.

Count me in. I missed the first gathering in April, but I will be returning to the U.K. as soon as my visa arrives in the mail. I will be a bit more than an hour and a half away from trafalgar square, so hopefully I can make it a routine.

Guys, do not be bothered about Russian language, we shall find enough English speaking people. After all, at least some of the Russians must speak reasonable English as long as they live and work here. I will be happy to see you whenever you can make it. When we shall get a strong core of socionists in the club I will get relaxed knowing that with me or without me the club will go on (if I need to escape for a short break).

And.....I have got some promissing ideas from the Russian site. One Russian socionist, his name is Alexander, found a place in Krimea area, which can be potentially used for informal international meetings of socionists something like a holiday club. I can not tell you more as I do not know much myself, but it will be not expensive as it is not a luxury hotel. It will be somewhere in the country side, where you can see the life of people the way it is.

Alexander is also a photographer (his hobby) and he promised to write a report with pictures later.

The next meetings are planned for the 14th and the 28th of October from 11am till about 2-3 pm in the pub as usual.
The meeting on the 28th of October is under question, as I may not be able to attend. But the club is growing and I don't think my abcense will be noticed. I have got two lovely young men Oleg and Pavel who are passionate about socionics and some others who is very keen to learn the subject. This is a relief. I will post some new pictures soon.

The Russian people who will be present all talk English fluently. Mariano Rajoy is also coming. What I believe is going to happen eventually is that we shall have people talking in groups and mixing with each other. Some people just started to learn about socionics and they get my first attention. I teach them basics in theory and how to type new comers. At the moment they type on the basis of the dichotomies only. I do plan to introduce them to typing by Model A. But I do believe it is important to remember the differences between the dichotomies and to see those differences in real lifes - to build up the experience of the different types.

So far the club has got predominantly male participants and yesterday at the Russian party I tried to get more ladies interested in socionics. So I really hope that we shall get soon balance in memebership. The ladies seem to get more interested when you type them instanty and explain the benefits of the knowledge. Some people seem to stuck in their false perceptions about themselves and expectations from others. So...we have the work to do to help some people to gain a more realistc attitude if they wish to have a positive change in their lives.
