I got it from an old thread Allie started about me.

And I don't gratuitously compliment people on how "attractive" they are. That was what my post was mocking -- not the fact that I or anyone else is or isn't attractive.

Nope. The whole point of my post was to mock the people who love to compliment everyone on how attractive they are, and how threads turn into this gay kumbayah crap (it happened in the last one too). I am very direct and honest about who I do/don't think is attractive, and will never compliment someone just to compliment them. So, what I say is more level, motivated by describing things accurately, rather than putting a smile on someone's (ugly) face.

You were the one who made the thread. Period. Stop trying to play it off with some dumb pretense of humor. Especially considering the fact that you did an artistic analysis of that exact photo, which had some pretty positive results.

I got this the first time, and I also got that your implication was that this was what I was doing. That's why I responded to it. I wasn't "gratuitously complimenting" anyone, nor was I referring to any specific person[s]; I was commenting on the fact that there are in fact many attractive people here on 16types, which [forgive me] seems like a surprising thing for an internet forum.

My post wasn't directed at you; your post was just the culmination of an impression that I had been getting. A matter of timing. Also note that I expected this type of thing to happen, since I witnessed it in the first attractiveness/pics thread last spring. I don't disagree that the people here are above the caliber of what I would expect from an internet forum (generally), but that's irrelevant to my motivations for making the post.
